Demo – Peeples Valley

Brian Brown – Limestone Canyon Forge
In the morning Brian will demonstrate making a spur from a single piece of steel. In the afternoon, he will demonstrate making the tools to make one-piece spurs.

“I am a full time blacksmith living and working in the mountains of Montana. I have been blacksmithing and creating artistic metal works for years, with various areas of focus, starting in the ABS with hand forged knives. After a career as a custom saddle maker, I moved into making forged saddle fittings and buckles. This led to spur making which has been my primary focus for the last few years. I still do a few full rigs and forge all of the fittings myself, to include mounted shooting rigs, cowboy action gear and custom spurs for many pro bull and bronc riders as well as arena ropers. I am developing my skills as an engraver currently with the hopes to master the art to be able to provide hand engraving to my customers.”

$15 for members
$20 for non-members
– Lunch options in the area are limited. Ivan plans to BBQ some burgers, hotdogs, and veggie burgers.
