The Arizona Artist Blacksmith Association (AABA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1981 as an affiliate of the Artist Blacksmith Association of North America (ABANA). It has as its purpose the education and artistic development of its members in the ancient and honorable skills of metalworking. The Association conducts regular meetings, demonstrations, classes, workshops and public outreach activities.
Anyone having an interest and desire to learn more about this ancient craft may join. You will meet people having similar interests to yours and who are willing to share their skills and knowledge. As a member you will also be eligible to attend our demonstrations, classes, and workshops, and will receive our bimonthly newsletter The Anvil’s Horn which features technical and historical articles, member profiles and information relating to past, current, and upcoming activities and events. You can download past issues of The Anvil’s Horn on the Newsletters page.
The cost of membership is $35 for a single member and $40 for a family. The fee to attend demonstrations is $15 to members and $20 for non-members.
